HOW IT WORKS

Getting your dog into the pack

Our qualification process is about making sure your dog has a great first day, and every day after. Here’s what to expect, from application to first drop-off.

Apply Online.

A short form about your dog — their breed, age, energy level, and anything we should know. Takes five minutes. No vet visit required upfront.

2.

Schedule a Trial Day

Your dog can meet our Pack Leaders and a small group of other dogs for a supervised introduction. We assess your pup’s play style, behaviour, and overall comfort.

3.

Admission

You receive a phone call from our team after the trial day. We let you know how your dog did, and send you home with a physical report card.

4.

Begin Your Daycare Membership

Niagara Pet Resort offers flexible membership options. Our team will help you find the one that suits your dog the best. Once setup, mornings are simple with our 60-second drive-thru drop-off.

Questions We Hear A Lot

We’re happy to walk you through everything before your dog’s first visit.

  • Yes — every new dog goes through a temperament assessment before joining the pack. This is all about making sure your dog has a safe, positive first day. Most dogs pass on their first visit. If we have concerns, we'll provide the best next step.

  • Drop-off runs 7am–10am through our drive-thru lane. Pick-up is 4pm–6pm. Dogs need to arrive during the drop-off window so they can join the morning pack properly. Late arrivals may not be accepted that day — just a heads up.

  • Group daycare works best for dogs who are comfortable around others. If your dog has had issues in the past, reach out before applying — our training program may be a smarter first step. Building confidence and social skills there often makes daycare go much better when they're ready.

  • We require up-to-date Rabies, Distemper (DHPP), and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations. Records can be uploaded during your application — we'll flag anything missing before day one. No surprises on arrival.

  • Dogs arrive 7am–10am and settle into the morning pack. Pack Leader supervised play runs 7am–2pm across our 10-acre property — including time near the pond. Built-in rest periods break up the day. After 2pm, activity winds down ahead of pick-up. They go home genuinely tired.

  • Yes. Daycare members receive priority booking for boarding stays and grooming appointments each month so they can keep their spot, plus 10–15% off depending on your membership tier.
